Day by day increasing population increasing needs of products  leads to increase in demand increase in production, increase in production, increase in products to fulfill the need and it results .The creation of waste begins from individual and we can say it is never ending  but it continues with industries and various sources which create waste. New packaging and technological products are being developed much of these product contains materials that are not bio-degradable, new life style changes ,such as eating fast food results increase in waste which are not bio-degradable.

Waste is nothing but the remains of the product which is completely utilized by the consumer. Wastes are of three kinds –Municipal solid waste, Industrial solid waste and Hazardous solid waste.

As the waste is created by different sources begins to degrade it becomes hazard for the environment. Harmful chemicals and greenhouse gasses are released from rubbish in landfill sites. Recycling helps to reduce the pollution caused by waste. Habitat destruction and global warming are some the effects caused by deforestation. Recycling reduces the need for raw materials so that the rainforests can be preserved. Huge amounts of energy are used when making products from raw materials. Recycling requires much less energy and therefore helps to preserve natural resources. As waste is created then there is need of its management, there are various methods of managing the waste like Recycling, source reduction out of which, Recycling is found to be more effective.

When we recycle, used materials are converted into new products, reducing pressure of the need to consume natural resources. Recycling helps to conserve important raw materials and protects natural habitat for the future.

In urban India the total municipal waste generated is 68.8 million tonnes per year or188, 500 tonnes per day! If the trend of continues, urban India will generate 160.5 million tonnes per year and 440,000 tonnes per day by 2041.And it was found that most of the materials which are waste are not biodegradable which increases problems of decomposing them, many times the waste is incinerated or dumped in the landfill, which is also responsible for polluting air, water and land. So it becomes necessary to have a sustainable and profitable way to decompose so much large amount of wastes.

Recycling reduces the need for extracting, refining and processing raw materials all of which create substantial air and water pollution. As recycling saves energy it also reduces greenhouse gas emissions, which helps to tackle climate changes.

For proving Recycling the best, it is necessary that there should be more usage of goods that can be easily recycled and more use of materials or goods which are recycled. There are many products like paper products, many glass and metal products are used to make pages of textbooks, some plastic products or metals goods for paving park benches

We can see the rapid speed of development of the countries all round the world and the question of waste management cannot be ignored! The awareness about waste management is not just restricted till the higher level but it also has been started at domestic level, many small industries or firms try to save money in their businesses, some entrepreneurs sees new opportunities for new business.

Though the concept of recycling seems to be good but there are also some drawbacks which cannot be ignored. It will never be possible to recycle everything. Along with continuing efforts to expand recycling .we must ensure that they are safe and clean. Recycling will continue as long as it is profitable. If it becomes, more would be the investment in it. Waste generated at several level in the life cycle of products.

At each stage there are opportunities for efficiency improvements, source reduction and recycling. It has been observed that there has been 30% increase in recycling and beyond in short time of decade is remarkable. It has also motivated the consumers to spend resources on encouraging the reduction and reuse of the products. It deserves acclaim but absolute amount of trash grow faster than the amount recycled so we can say that it is not such a success story.

Recycling is one of the best ways to have positive impact on the world, in which we live; it has given a way to brighter tomorrow.  Various companies and industries are following and implementing the process of recycle to improve their productivity and for conservation of natural resources as well as protecting earth from various environmental hazards.

It has been seen that as the level of technology increases, there is also given emphasis on most efficient products. Now a days we can see that there is more amount of waste is generated per day and less is recycled. We should be hopeful that in coming years we find solutions to the problems related to recycle. Recycling is not only a boon at economic aspect but also helps to reduce the effect of global warming. Simple actions from domestic to global level can make a big difference in fighting global warming with reusing, reducing and recycling the garbage accumulating in landfills!
