Anything can happen anytime! To protect ourselves from odd situations, we are indirectly trained through our education syllabus from school level. But are there various disasters natural, manmade and those disasters which can be avoided in future. Disasters not only devastate the infrastructure but also the minds of the people it creates chaos and confusion with its arrival. At one point of time loss of property can be recovered but loss of life cannot be measured. Panic and havoc cannot be ignored during the time of disaster but we can surely tackle. For tackling these odd situations there is need of basic training to each and every person of the country.

During and after a disaster, you may feel helpless. It is important to stay active and focus on what you can do – even if it seems negligible. Every little thing counts. Make a list of all that you can accomplish (for example, securing important documents, calling insurance companies, seeking out assistance, etc.). In addition, even though your life may feel much disorganized, try your best to stay organized. This can help establish a sense of control and predictability.

Experiencing a natural disaster — and maybe even losing loved ones or neighbors — can bring on a number of unpleasant feelings, such as sadness or loss, depression, anger, anxiety, fear, shock, and disbelief. These are normal responses to a very stressful event. Recognize this. Validate these emotions. The more you try to fight against them, the stronger they can become. In addition, in an attempt to get away from these emotions, many times people rely on unhealthy coping strategies such as drinking or drugs which can lead to additional problems. Utilize healthy emotions regulating strategies to approach, accept, and work through your emotions.

India is also among the world’s most disaster vulnerable area, 57% to the earthquake,28% to the drought,8% to cyclones,18% to landslide,12% to floods and 50% of forest fire. Statistical analysis on one side but there is heavy economic loss, political loss, social loss and physical loss.

The avoidable disasters are “wars” between the countries; World Wars were able to badly traumatize each and every person, terrorist attacks had left worse mark on the whole globe these are the darker side of human beings.
